I have 12 tables that have the same named column in each. I will be loading (via sqlldr) data into these tables. What I need to do is as each record is loaded add a sequence number (currval) to each of these 12 tables. The sequence number will be the same for all 12 tables to tie them together. When the next record is loaded I need to take the nextval in the sequence and put it in all 12 tables. And so on.
I have created the sequence object and it works on one table / column. However, I cannot get the coding correct to do what I want. Any and all suggestions are welcome.
