Hi My instance was crashed when one of users was truncating the table.the following are the error message in alert log Wed Jan 30 00:15:13 2002 Errors in file pathname/udump/ora8_ora_9453.trc: ORA-07445: exception encountered: core dump [ksqcmi()+5792] [SIGSEGV] [Address not mapped to object] [0] [] [] ORA-01013: user requested cancel of current operation Wed Jan 30 00:15:19 2002 Errors in file path/bdump/ora8_pmon_4339.trc: ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [1100], [4162056452], [4162056452], [], [], [], [], [] Wed Jan 30 00:15:21 2002 PMON: terminating instance due to error 600 Instance terminated by PMON, pid = 4335 I checked metalink and found its a oracle bug.But this is happening first time.I have truncated so many tables but v=never faces such situation.During the instance crash the IOWAIT was high.THis is on oracle enterprise edition 8.1.6.0.0. on solaris 5.7 IS any one faced such situation .if yes then how come out from this situation.I don't want to upgrate 8.1.7 till now.
