Hi everyone - I have recently installed an instance of Oracle, version 8.1.7 on a Sun Solaris machine (running 2.6). I have the base instance completed, and am waiting for the clients to finalize their design.
Now, after discussing it, we've decided we should try to implement on 9i instead. At this point - am I better off starting over and installing 9i, or would an upgrade of the instance be better? I'm interested both from a time perspective and from the complexity of the tasks, as well as the probability that it will work. Thanks in advance for any input!
