Can't help you there, but I recently installed Oracle9i on a P4 machine and expected the worst. Things actually went very smooth, no prob's whatsoever. Just the normal OK...OK....OK....OK...FINISH install. So the later versions of oracle 9i for W2K must be fixed. The splash screen disappears and after a few seconds, the CD drive winds down. The 8.1.5 CD I have works OK. The installer starts normally. I know the hardware and the CD media I'm using are good, as they work OK with other media / devices.
