I HAVE CHECKED IT, I CAN DROP ANY TABLE FROM USER BUT NOT USER. DOESN'T LET ME TO DROP ANY USER. EVEN DOESN'T LET ME TO SHUTDOWN!!!!

(Although I first noticed it when I tried to drop a user.) Do you only get this error when you drop a user? After messing around with it for a bit, I determined that the system tablespace/data dictionary might be a bit wacked. It was only a 1 gig database running in noarchivelog mode, and I had an export from the last time a user logged in (lucky me!) so I recreating the database, did the import and everything was up and running again in no time - which was good because I had a few other things that required my immediate attention. Check to see if you get the ORA-00604 error message from dropping something else other than a user.
