We say that disk is cheap, but that is a relative term. Yes an individual drive may be inexpensive, but if your using anykind or raid or mirroring (as we are) then each GB of space is twice as expensive as the individual part because you need two drives. Also, don't forget the cost of backing up that drive and keeping several copies thereof.
