Try direct=Y, and (if nobody is currently using the database, otherwise
you risk running into inconsistencies) try to export in parallel, by
exporting several owners or tables in different processes, and trying to
have all processes dealing with roughly the same amount of data. Quite
obviously, try not to send all the data to the same controller/disk.
If you still have times which are too long for you, totally reconsider.
Import time will easily be 4/5 times greater.
