Stefan - The only thing I know about ODBC drivers is that they seem to come in two types - those that work and those that don't. When I've encountered one that doesn't work, I've never been able to make it work. I have succeed by finding other drivers until I get one that works. Sometimes the Oracle-provided ODBC drivers work fine, sometimes the Microsoft drivers do. All I can suggest is to install the closest driver, and if it doesn't work, find another. Can I use the 7.3 ODBC drivers written for Windows95 for connection to a 8.1.7? I've never done this before and can't find any clear answers about it on Oracles website. Would be immensly gratefull for an answer of any kind, even if it is a "no-can do", then I would know that I dont have to put any more effort into this :) Thanks!
