1) Oracle uses the registry also to register some staff in other places except the oracle entry. 2) Oracle also use c:\program files\oracle for some stuff (install log etc.).
Why do not upgrade the machine without recreating C partition. (I know that upgrade is more work then ghosting a new C drive).
