Se the little example : SQL> create table t (a number, b number default 10); Table created. SQL> insert into t (a) values (10); 1 row created. SQL> commit; Commit complete. SQL> select * from t; A B ---------- ---------- 10 10 SQL> insert into t (a,b) values (10, null); 1 row created. SQL> commit; Commit complete.
