Rachel:

Not very true. Deadlocks can happen for n number of reasons. You can not
always
tell ' the problem is with application code'.

For example you can deadlocks for

1. Missing indexes in Foreign keys
2. ITL Entry shortages
3. INVALID triggers
4. Oracle BUGS (!)

The above three are database/design issues. Application code has no role
here

I am getting "ORA-000060: Deadlock detected" error.I know this is the
