Thanks Dennis! I may have to do it as you suggested. I was hoping there was a way to automatically shutdown/startup Unix script if I shutdown Oracle via srvmgrl command line prompt. For instance, if I executed 'shutdown immediate', this would invoke command behind the scene to stop the process scheduler job.
