Well,
one of us is probably wrong.... not sure which. But, I thought that , as
long as the file structures are the same that there should not be any difference
in an archive log for one OS over another.
Since
you are coming from Solaris, a unix environment, and going to a DEC Alpha,
another unix environment, I figured that they would be
compatible.
Tell
you what, do yourself a favor and create a small database on one system, clone
it over to the other system and try it out yourself. You could have
your question answered unequivicably in a days time.
