----- Original Message ----- To: "Multiple recipients of list ORACLE-L" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Thursday, December 26, 2002 1:33 PM shuan.tay\(PCI¾G¸R³Ô\), Hi, It is because oracle will have to wake up pmon to rollback those uncommitted transactions, so, the lock cannot be released befor the rollback complete. You have to wake. Some trick said in this list is that you use oradebug to wake up pmon manually, maybe will rollback the transactions faster:) Regards zhu chao msn:[EMAIL PROTECTED] www.happyit.net www.cnoug.org(ChinaOracle User Group) ======= 2002-12-25 19:48:00 ,you wrote£º======= >Dear all DBAs, > >Is there any way to remove the lock of table which status is already marked as "killed"? >No matter how many times i try to kill the session, it still marked as "killed", >but it still won't release the lock. > >Thanks in advance. = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = -- Please see the official ORACLE-L FAQ: http://www.orafaq.net -- Author: chao_ping INET: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Fat City Network Services -- 858-538-5051 http://www.fatcity.com San Diego, California -- Mailing list and web hosting services --------------------------------------------------------------------- To REMOVE yourself from this mailing list, send an E-Mail message to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] (note EXACT spelling of 'ListGuru') and in the message BODY, include a line containing: UNSUB ORACLE-L (or the name of mailing list you want to be removed from).
