Ron Thanks for explaining that. I'm guessing that being on VMS makes you always feel overlooked. Sounds like you got what you need.

[EMAIL PROTECTED] -----Original Message----- Sent: Thursday, January 23, 2003 4:05 PM To: Multiple recipients of list ORACLE-L Dennis, When I ran the scripts to create the statspack info, the srcipts errored out and exited. I had to read the logs and it showed that something was not there to delete/remove ( common before creating a table or view). Openvms on our server is set to error out and not continue on error. I had to run the scripts one line at a time to get them to complete. OpenVms requires a $set noon to continue on error as the first line of each of the scripts. Just a few of the differences I am learning about the different OS's. I wnated some literature about statspack to insure that I had everything installed and with the proper owner. Then I can start using it once we migrate our users from the Novell 7.3.4 database to the OpenVMS 8.1.7 database( maybe next month..) The database was ready 3 months ago. Ahhhh corporate hurry up and wait policy. Untill the man down the hall is effected, things will be slow moving forward..... Ron >>> [EMAIL PROTECTED] 01/23/03 03:35PM >>> Ron - I'm confused (easily done) Statspack is just a set of SQL and PL/SQL scripts for the installation, to create the tables and procedures. What is VMS-specific? Dennis Williams DBA, 40%OCP Lifetouch, Inc.
