See e.g :Marlene Theriault,paper at IOUG live 2002 "...As with earlier databases, the standard block size is set by the DATABASE_BLOCK_SIZE parameter value when the database is created and you cannot change this block size without rebuilding the database. By default, the standard block size is used for the SYSTEM tablespace and for any other tablespaces that are created. To create a tablespace with a non-standard block size, you use the BLOCKSIZE keyword as follows: create tablespace DIFBLK_TS datafile 'G:\Oracle\oradata\mydb\difblk1.dbf' size 10M blocksize 8192; Remember the note above?
