Harsh,

after altering the column (increasing the width) make sure u dont have any
triggers/procedures associated with the table. altering the table will make
those objects invalid. so make sure to compile those objects again.

Hi Gurus,

I need a urgent help.

I have a table e.g. USER_DETAILS with a column NUMBER(9), populated by a
sequence. [ The column name is USERNO ]

This table is quite heavy and the current situation is USERNO have reached
it's maximum value i.e. 999999999.
No more records can be inserted ....

Problem !!!

Can any one suggest a solution with NO change is the software and minor
change in the software.
