I think with LMT's now, it is irrelevant. I still think you need to know approx. how big the table is going to be, and place it in the correct LMT. By this I mean that you may have different LMT's with different uniform extent sizes. A very large table should be placed in the largest LMT tablespace.
at least that's what I would do. the rest of the discussion is now moot - it just doesn't matter anymore.
