The source code for dba_objects has a comment in the where clause describing type# 10 as 'non-existent'. I've seen objects with that type# be created when you drop a synonym. e.g. SQL> create synonym x for y ; Synonyme créé. SQL> drop synonym x ; Synonyme supprimé. SQL> select name, type# from sys.obj$ 2 where owner# = sys_context ('userenv', 'current_schemaid') 3 and name = 'X' ; NAME TYPE# ------------------------------ --------- X 10 -- Please see the official ORACLE-L FAQ: http://www.orafaq.net -- Author: Jacques Kilchoer INET: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Fat City Network Services -- 858-538-5051 http://www.fatcity.com San Diego, California -- Mailing list and web hosting services --------------------------------------------------------------------- To REMOVE yourself from this mailing list, send an E-Mail message to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] (note EXACT spelling of 'ListGuru') and in the message BODY, include a line containing: UNSUB ORACLE-L (or the name of mailing list you want to be removed from).
