I don't have any great answers other than there is good docs on MetaLink. However, one word of warning. We have been attempting to install DataGuard here and have encountered bugs. We have open bugs for release 9.2.0.1, 9.2.0.2 and 9.2.0.3. The bugs are supposed to be fixed in 9.2.0.4, but then again, they were supposed to have been fixed in 9.2.0.3 too.
