That's exactly what we use. But it depends on what you have to support: If you have Oracle running on a Mainframe and your customer is Austrian, there is D8EBCDIC1141, which supports special local characters.

I'd recommend WE8ISO8859P15 (I think that's it) ... the difference is Euro support!
