As a member of a core team, tasks will consist of design and development of reusable components and supporting project teams performing concurrent development. The developer will provide the technical solutions using cutting edge web technologies to move forward the next generation of this exciting Teradata product. Skills & Attributes: The ideal candidate will have strong client side J2EE web application development tools. Be experienced working in distributed, collaborative development teams. The Ideal candidate will have a passion for the latest client side technologies, experience building "Best of Breed" dynamic web interfaces and terrific work ethic. Basic Qualifications • 5+ years related experience; Proven Java Development Skills • 4+ years developing web based J2EE applications for the web using JSP and Struts or similar framework • Bachelor'''s Degree • Proven Javascript skills, Ajax, JSON, CSS, HTML, and JSP/JSTL a must have. • Experience with Struts, experience with one or more Javascript/Ajax libraries (such as Dojo, DWR, Ext JS or Prototype). •, Experience with lightweight frameworks such as JSF, Spring, JSP, Custom Tags, MyEclipse, Javadoc (and JSDoc), and knowledge of webservices. Preferences • Experience in producing code that has been successfully deployed at major Enterprise customer(s) • Interaction design and usability skills. • Experience with Internationalization (i18n) and Localization (l10n) of code • 3+ years experience with Object/Relational Persistence tools (e.g. Hibernate, OJB, JDO, TopLink, etc) and object caching will be asset • Advanced degree preferred Other Assets • Knowledge of the Customer Relationship Management Markey space preferred • Teradata database knowledge is an asset • Cross browser development practices • One or more client side testing tools (JSUnit, JSLint) • Firefox plugin or other web development tools (Firebug, shell, etc).
