The primary purpose of this position is to act as Subject Matter Expert on
all SQL 2005 related issues. This includes upgrading from existing
Production
SQL 2000 to SQl 2005 in standalone and cluster environment.
--- Minimum 9+ yrs of SQL Server Database Administration experience
--- Should have the ability to investigate and find solutions to various SQL
2000/2005
issues.
--- Should have experience on 32 bit and 64 bit standalone and clustered
environemnt
--- Should have strong experience in performance tuning, stored procedures,
optimization
--- Should have strong experience in Replication, Clustering, Disaster
Recovery methods
--- Should have experience in DTS to SSIS conversions, troubleshooting.
--- On-Call availability
Should be a team player. Should have ability to assist other DBAs. Should
have
the ability to prepare upgrade plans, review and assist the team during the
upgrade
process. Should have good communication skills.
