JOB DESCRIPTION - Web Developer
Location: Stamford, CT (Primary) with some time required in NYC *NEED LOCAL TO **Stamford, CT * ** *SEND RESUMES TO [EMAIL PROTECTED] * * Required Primary Skills: JavaScript, JSP Required Secondary Skills: CSS, HTML Must have some type of DB preferable Oracle but MySQL or SQL Server would be fine as well. The position will focus on the development of consumer-facing web applications in a Java environment and will be specifically responsible for front-end technical design and development. As such, the position will require a high degree of expertise in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Ajax, and Flash. Additionally this position will have technical oversight responsibility for front-end development work done on our web sites by outside vendors. Responsible for a highly traffic website where they a consistently updating content, videos, blogs, etc. Pluses: In addition to the required experience described above, a good candidate should have extensive experience with Perl, XML and SQL, and have a strong understanding of web 2.0 technologies. The development and production environments are primarily based on Sun Solaris so a UNIX background is helpful. A degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering is desirable. Prefer candidates from heavy marketing or media websites.
