* Responsible for implementing and supporting an end to end monitoring
solution that is comprised of both business application and server
monitoring.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

=====================================



1. The support responsibilities include: on-call support, troubleshooting,
incident notification and resolution, problem management/analysis, and root
cause identification.



2. Interacts with and coordinates the monitoring activities of
cross-functional teams, including business, development, system
administration, database administration, network engineering and production
support staff.



3. Helps to develop and document standard procedures and best practices in
our technical repository.



4. Candidate must be a team player but also have the ability to self-manage
time and multiple activities.



5. Good communication and inter-personal skills.

Technical Requirements of the position

=========================================

* Minimum three years of experience with the installation, configuration,
administration of:

** HP BAC, version 6.9 or higher

** HP SiteScope, version 8.9 or higher

* Preference to candidates with HP [or Mercury] certification or documented
training.

* Advanced SiteScope configuration for monitoring application servers (such
as WebLogic), network bandwidth, log files, JVMs, processes and daemons,
etc.

* Understanding of the integration of HP BAC & SiteScope tools.

* Proficient with development of VuGen HTTP scripts for business application
monitoring - 3+ years.

* Experience with monitoring dashboards.

* Proficient with the configuration of HP BAC Service Level Availability.

* Windows OS and UNIX/Linux command line experience.

* Experience with Remedy and problem ticket management.

* Understanding of principles of web and systems engineering.

* Knowledge / experience of RUM, QTP and CMDB.

* Developer background with knowledge of C or and C++ programming languages.

* Understands and willing to follow software development lifecycles
