BUSINES SYSTEMS ANALYST
The services of the Worker will include, but are not limited to the
following:
* Participate as part of a team in a Data Quality Analyst role to
establish and implement a data governance framework for the TXCSES 2.0
Initiative within the Child Support Division. The data governance framework
includes data governance processes and policies, a data governance
organizational structure, corresponding roles and responsibilities, and the
development and deployment of data governance training materials.
* Participate as part of a team in a Data Quality Analyst role to
create procedures for manual data cleanup. The procedures will be used by
child support staff across the state to cleanup data on the child support
system. The initial data analysis has been performed and a recommended data
clean-up strategy will be provided. Procedures for manual cleanup must be
written, test, and implemented.
* Participate as part of a team in a Data Quality Analyst role to
define, design, and implement a data quality monitoring strategy. The
strategy will be an extension of the data governance framework and will
include defining requirements for a tool to assist with data monitoring, as
well as creating and implementing procedures to conduct the monitoring.
* Other reasonable business analyst services as necessary to ensure
that the tasks listed above can be performed successfully.
* Assist project team members to ensure timely project deliverable
completion and coordination of project activities.
* Coordinate activities with Agency staff.
* Perform reviews of project deliverables.
* Communicate with Agency project manager, team members and business
team members to propose solutions for risks and issues identified.
* Regularly report status to Agency supervisor as directed.
* Other reasonable business analyst services as necessary to ensure
that the tasks listed above can be successfully performed.

Experience with full-time data analysis or closely related experience

Extensive skills in analyzing facts and devising creative solutions to
problems

Extensive skills producing procedure-level documentation

Experience in Texas state agency operations.

Demonstrated ability in the following areas: Solid mix of business and
technical capabilities, Ability to identify opportunities and propose
solutions, Clear, articulate and confident written and verbal communication
skills, Strong presentation skills, Sound report writing skills, Strong
analytical and problem solving capabilities
Required
Graduation from an accredited four year college or university with a degree
in a related field, such as business, public administration, computer
science, information systems, human services or equivalent experience.
