*Title*: Sr Java J2EE Developer *Location*: Wall Street, NY *Duration*: 6+ Months *Description: * *OVERVIEW*: Looking for a hands-on senior Java multi-threaded application developer for designing and developing various modules for counterparty credit risk application platform which may include implementing controller/scheduler application for derivatives pricing and risk factor simulation services. Candidate must have strong multi-threaded application development background in Java/J2EE with an aptitude for quantitative analysis and design. Candidate should have proven experience in delivering well-designed, robust and well-documented solutions in a timely manner. *KEY RESPONSIBILITIES*: Design and develop multi-threaded Java modules for controller/scheduler application for derivatives pricing and risk simulation services in distributed grid environment - Manage and maintain various credit risk applications on grid platform - Provide end to end model validation and application platform integration testing - Provide application support for the OTC counterparty credit risk system - Provide support to the Credit Risk Analytics for analyzing numerical problems - Coordinate and work on multiple projects simultaneously while effectively managing multiple tasks independently to meet deadlines - Guide and mentor junior team members through collaboration *EXPECTED OUTCOMES* Deliver key Basel II project modules on time in accordance with the Basel II delivery schedule as agreed with the stakeholders. Improve counterparty credit risk application platform efficiency through series of performance enhancements to the controller/scheduler application that leverage the grid computing framework. Expand technical skills of other junior team members through collaboration. *CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS* * *More than 8 years of architecting distributed systems using J2EE technologies for financial industry. - Intimate working knowledge of Weblogic and Spring. - Good knowledge of market data and trade data structures for atleast fixed income instruments. - Be the Subject Matter expert on J2EE for the whole team. - Good working knowledge of front end web technologies like AJAX and FLEX. - Device integration strategies for sharing quantitative libraries using SOA and J2EE. - Ability to produce detailed design documents for use by other team members who are working at a remote site. - Working knowledge of FIX protocol. - Prior experience of leading large scale projects in a financial industry setting. - Demonstrated ability of reducing costs through use of technology.
