Wishes of the day, Please find the requirement details below *Job Title:* Web Designer *Duration:* 03/02/2015 - 05/04/2015 *Location:* Atlanta, Georgia The Georgia Department of Public Health (DPH) is seeking an experienced Web Developer to research, develop and launch a single online portal to deliver HIV prevention and treatment information to audiences in Ga. Ultimately this position seeks to link those living with HIV/AIDS with care and to alleviate stigma associated with HIV. This position is federally funded through the CAPUS HIV care and prevention grant and is expected to be funded for approximately five (5) months. Reporting directly to the Director, Communications, the incumbent will work in a fast-paced, deadline driven, collaborative and dynamic environment along with principals in DPH’s HIV Unit and external partners to create an online information portal delivering a sustainable, community-based, culturally and linguistically competent system of care for HIV clients. Fulfilling DPH’s vision of this portal requires the ability to create a site framework foundation in hypertext transfer protocol over SSL with multiple layers of user authentication to verify clearance and access to data protected by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). Static content will be authored by subject matter experts (SME’s) and the position requires experience authoring and providing training in a Drupal environment with full social media integration. The Web Developer will work with internal database coders to integrate SENDSS-driven data with encryption where needed. The successful candidate will develop and execute an online information hub for use by various populations by collaborating with staff in the Division of Communications, the HIV Unit, and informatics/database managers to meet requirements, grant/funding-related deliverables, and other routine tasks on track and within budgetary guidelines and restrictions. This position works with staff to develop metrics for program/plan evaluation. This role is vital in providing accurate, timely and relevant preventive healthcare and treatment information to visitors in an engaging, easy to understand, informative format with an emphasis on return visitors. The successful candidate will be a self-starter able to protect sensitive information including that protected by HIPAA regulations, be able to work with others, possesses exceptional writing and editing skills and the ability to digest complex and clinical/academic messages and repurpose those messages for public consumption without assistance, if necessary. Candidate must be results-driven with the ability to think independently, solve problems and anticipate future needs to foster healthier outcomes with minimal supervision from leadership. During an emergency or disaster the Web Developermay be required to staff the Department's Emergency Operations Center.
