* Position: Systems Engineer*
* Location: Las vegas, NV* *Duration: **5+months* *Description* This is a web and application server administration position utilizing a mix of technologies including - Microsoft IIS, Apache, Java, Adobe AEM. All hardware is remote. Knowledge and experience in the administration of large-scale web applications is a must. This position reports into the Digital Development team and will work closely with developers to solve system problems as a team to get the most out of the platform. -Monitor all server tiers for performance issues and stability concerns, and develop strategies for improving the environment. -Administer web users and hosting accounts. -Manage installations and upgrades of application and system software, troubleshooting, management and day-to-day administration. -Configuration of web servers (Apache and IIS) to ensure maximum uptime and high performance. -Work with development teams to help them understand administration issues and develop strategies to improve performance and efficiency of operations. *Skill/Experience/Education * *Mandatory:* -Three or more years of Microsoft and/or Apache Web Server administration. -Experience managing and administering Windows servers. -Experience working with Java server applications. -Excellent written and verbal communication skills in the English language. -Experience documenting / diagramming large scale production and test environments. -A strong opinion but an open mind about new technologies and processes. *Desired:* Experience working with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) or other enterprise class content management systems. *Skill Matrix* Skill Name Description Level (1-5, 5 being the highest) 1 2 3 4 5 Years Mandatory(Yes/No) Systems Administration Manage installations and upgrades of application and system software, troubleshooting, management and day-to-day administration.
