Sr. Core Java developer Location : Stamford CT Duration : 6+ Months Face to Face needed after Phone screen *STRONG CORE JAVA NOT J2EE* *CLIENT SERVER* *LINUX FOR DEBUGGING* * SYBASE SQL* *EQUITY DERIVATIVES VERY HELPFUL* *FAMILIAR WORKIGN WITH COMPLEX SYSTEMS- RISK SYSTEM* The successful candidate will work as a senior developer within the Equity Derivatives risk team contributing to the core engineering of the next generation Java risk and pricing systems. The risk systems are highly scalable and complex distributed compute systems handling a full product range. High technical proficiency (in Java) and self-starter skills are essential. In addition, the successful candidate will: - Work on core engineering projects within risk to increase efficiency, build out capacity and enhance robustness. - Deliver functional enhancements to the business - Make a strong contribution to the overall design of the system - Develop interfaces to be used by the clients of the system including other the development groups. - Provide second/third level support to the applications global user community including assisting dedicated support staff and liaising with the members of other development teams directly.
