*Job Title - SW Testing / Quality Engineer *- Phone Hire Location: Atlanta, GA (Local or nearby) Duration : 6 months + Rate: $50/hr C2C *Must have Skills:* Selected candidates will develop and execute test plans and test cases for our client's handheld devices Service Platform division. Candidate will also help the production operations, implementation, and other teams within the team to execute system upgrades and patches, as required. This is an opportunity to have a wide variety of tasks and contribute to the success of our newest services within the wireless operator marketplace. *Responsibilities: * • Plan, test, benchmark, and perform modifications to environments hosting client services. • Plan, test, and perform new deployments of client's hosted services. • Create, maintain, and manage many types of physical and virtual test environments across teams. • Continually monitor and audit processes within Hosting Operations to ensure Quality. • Use and customize predictive analysis tools in support of operational metrics and objectives. • Look for continuous improvement opportunities for our processes and applications. • Document status and deliverables related to implementation of new services • Manage tasks, schedule, and workflow for the projects you are assigned to lead • Coordinate with related customer-facing and development groups to avoid and solve issues • Participate in planning meetings and interact with product development • Develop software scripts, reports, and project plans to assist in managing the testing environment. • Hold Service Maturity reviews with all relevant parties from R&D, Quality, Service Delivery, & Operations teams to ensure all requirements met before deployment of services. • Improve and Document key processes between and among teams *Qualifications* *Competencies and Skills:* • Highly motivated self-starter / fast learner • Strong analytical/problem solving • Navigating & setting up Linux/UNIX & Windows environments • Linux server administration • Interpret, understand, edit scripts (*Perl, Python, Shell*.) • SQL query skills required. • General knowledge of RDBMS • E-mail systems and protocols (*POP, SMTP, IMAP*) • Network infrastructure troubleshooting and navigation (*Firewalls, Load Balancers, DNS*) • Excellent communication both verbal and written • ITIL v3 understanding; Service Transition, Operations, Release, Change, & Problem Management • Writing & executing test plans, test cases, and process documentation *Desirable background and technologies:* • Quality Center • *VMware* • ITIL v3 compliant toolsets such as Remedy • Web server administration (IIS, Apache) • BS in Computer Science (or, equivalent professional experience) *• Symbian device operating systems (S40/S60) *• Ovi Suite of Services • Very strong with Microsoft Office & Collaboration software (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint) • *Bugzilla* or similar defect management systems • dotProject or similar task management software <https://pdstech.taleo.net/careersection/2/jobdetail.ftl> *Please fill bellow details and send me back.* Consultant full Name: * * Contact no.
