*Position : RPG JDE Consultant * *Location : Morton Grove, IL Duration : 6+ Months* *Interview : Phone/ Skype * *Required: RPG IV/LE, CLP design, and some JDE WORLD (older version)* *Will hire off phone/Skype* *Job Responsibilities* - The consulting candidate is responsible for the technical stages of IT projects and initiatives from proposal and requirements definition to project planning and implementation. This position will proactively interface with internal customers and the technical/programming staff to ensure effective definition and the delivery of business applications. - This position requires the ability to manage all aspects of projects from start to finish. - Solid functional and technical knowledge of J.D. Edwards World Software in a distribution environment - Ability to develop solutions in RPG, RPG IV/LE, CLP Design, develop and deliver quality technical solutions for business needs - Work closely with Applications Development Manager, Project Managers and other IT associates to develop solutions - Participate in design sessions and review sessions with technical and business teams, with a focus on global solutions - Recommends and implements technical solutions for approved projects - Identifies new applicable technologies and solutions - Create estimates and manage against project designs and budgets - Provides technical support and troubleshooting as needed - Develop technical documentation to support development activities - Adhere to IMS and SOX policies and procedures for compliance to ensure companywide consistent standards - Provide management with regular communication on the progress of projects and other initiatives *Job Requirement* - 5+ years working in an iSeries environment - 5+ years programming & working in RPG, RPGIV/LE, CLP, AS/400 Query, SQL, XML, FTP, HTML - 3+ years working with J.D.
