Strong *Java coding and debugging skills*, strong experience in both *core Java and advanced Java* esp. multi-threading and asynchronous messaging, and strong experience with Oracle and high performance SQL is a must. Experience developing big data analytics apps using Hadoop technologies esp. *Spark* (or MapReduce) and HBase, is highly desired. *Required Skills and Experience: * · *5+ years* of experience in developing complex enterprise software applications using Java and database technologies · Strong knowledge in Core Java; Advanced Java incl. multi-threading, asynchronous messaging, and JDBC; and 3rd party frameworks such as Spring · Strong familiarity with Oracle and SQL · Strong experience developing high volume, multi-threaded and multi-instance applications using these technologies · Strong knowledge in OO design, and algorithms and data structures · Familiarity with interface design and standards such as SOAP, REST and XML · Experience developing automated tests using JUnit · Ability to learn and debug complex Java applications *Highly Desired: * • Experience developing big data analytics applications • Experience with Hadoop technologies, primarily Spark (or MapReduce) and HBase Typical interactive web application development is not sufficient for this position – that is, a “single stack” web app with UI + business logic + data access.
