Creates, tests, and evaluates networks. - Analyze business requirements to develop technical network solutions and their framework. - Good experience on WAN network design and solution - Good knowledge on firewall design and implementation. - In-depth knowledge on site to site VPN design and build - Design, test, and inspect data communications systems. - Perform network modeling, analysis, and planning. - Install hardware such as cables, hubs, routers, and wireless adaptors. - Develop technology roadmaps. - Configure network drivers for software. - Analyze, engineer, and execute software functions. - Develop test plans, implementation plans, and project timelines for various projects. - Manage technology vendors. - Stay abreast of how technology infrastructures are currently impacting and driving competitors. - Determine production direction. - Write functional requirements/specifications documents. - Assess vendor development/test strategies. - Perform network troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common network problems. - Upgrade network hardware and software components as required. - Solve complex problems with many variables and solution - Good knowledge on firewall design and implementation. - In-depth knowledge of LAN engineering design for data and video networks at Access, Distribution, and Core network locations. - Thorough understanding of modern service provider TCP/IP data networks using standards and technologies including but not limited to: Ethernet, OSPF, IGMP, STP, RSTP, 802.1q, 802.11n, and 802.11ac. - Knowledge, skills and experience with Cisco routing, switching, and wireless hardware, software and protocols. - Working knowledge of structured cabling systems and network facilities. - Ability to work alone as an individual contributor, as a technical lead and as a participant in a team environment. - Router, Switch and IP configuration experience is required.
