My name is *Mitul* from *Human Microsystems, Inc,* one of my direct client is looking for a * LINUX/UNIX Administrator *details are mentioned below, Please send me your best candidate ASAP with an word format updated resume. *Role: LINUX/UNIX Administrator* *Duration: 6+ Months* *Location: Des Moines, IA* *Interview Mode: In Person Interview* *Description:* *This position is intended to support Clients computer networking responsibilities by supporting firewalls, proxy servers, DNS, secure communications, network monitoring, and providing consulting services in those areas.* *Complete Description * *These functions are performed in the enterprise hosting and networking environment, which hosts hundreds of virtual and physical servers in multiple locations, and supports functions and business-critical services for executive branch agencies. * *Responsibilities include:* • *Operational support for proxy, load balancing and Internet filtering services for additional security, performance, capacity and availability of hosted services.* • *Operational support for secure, high volume DNS services and SSL cert management. * • *Configure and maintain secure network infrastructure in conformance with security standards and best practices. * *Assigned systems include enterprise networking environment with major impact on delivery of services to customers internal to state government and to the public.* • *Manage networks and assigned systems to prevent unauthorized access while insuring efficient transmission. Perform log management and monitoring.* • *Firewall support: Plan, schedule and implement access through the firewalls in conformance with security standards. * • *Adhere to defined incident/change management process* • *Regular communication with other technical teams and business owners* • *Work with customers to develop testing and implementation schedules as needed* • *Maintain technical documentation of the environment* *At least a general working knowledge of web applications, protocols, concepts, methodologies* *Communicate clearly and interact effectively with individuals at all levels of responsibility* *Schedule, coordinate and plan effectively* *Squid proxy, DNS, and SSL cert experience a plus* *Gigamon experience a plus* *Skill* *Required / Desired* *Amount of Experience* UNIX System Administration experience with Linux as the core operating system Required 2 Years Apache HTTP server experience Required 2Years Firewall administration Required 2Years Full time technical support experience in a complex networking or web hosting environment Required 2Years Unix scripting skills (e.g. Perl, Bash, TCL, cURL, etc.) At least a general working knowledge of web applications, protocols, concepts, methodologies Required 2 Years Operational support for proxy, load balancing and Internet filtering services for additional security, performance, capacity and availability of host Desired Operational support for secure, high volume DNS services and SSL cert management.
