Position: senior level AIX Systems Admin. Location: Irving, TX rate: $45/hr Duration: 6 months Responsibilities include patching servers, building servers from NIM, user adds/deletes in a fast paced environment, Updating documentation, analyzes, and resolves problems associated with these tasks. Detects, diagnoses, and reports related problems. Required Skills: • Researches, evaluates, installs, maintains and supports AIX. AIX LPAR builds Prepares written documentation to accompany all system changes. • Implements bulk changes to operating systems • Follows documented standards, and procedures. Additional Skills: NIM configuration work RHEL/Solaris operating systems. VIO disk configuration work. PCI OS Hardening knowledge Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform task efficiently and independently. Complexity of Work: Moderately routine; general policies applied Experience: a minimum of 3-5 years in system administration; or equivalent combination of education and experience Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: • Thorough knowledge of specific architecture of hardware platforms supported (e.g., SUN servers (T2K, V440, V880) technology. • Some knowledge of IBM/AIX Operating Systems & architecture of hardware platforms supported (e.g., IBM servers (P4, 5 & 6) technology. • Thorough knowledge of general installation methods and procedures • Thorough knowledge of the capacities and performance capabilities of system components • Thorough knowledge of sources of needed information for research • Thorough knowledge of practices, guidelines and procedures for planning, implementing and monitoring Systems. • Thorough knowledge of procedures and technologies for backup, Alt disk installations and retrieval of systems using OS backups. -- Thanks & Regards, Abhi a...@cigniti.com -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Oracle-Projects" group.
