This candidate will be the technical resource to enhance the existing EVSP process to handle additional requirements. Individual must be capable of quickly ramping up to the existing process, work with business clients to document new and enhanced requirements, and follow through on the development and implementation. Tools leveraged to maintain and enhance the EVSP system include SQL Server, DB2, SSIS, SSRS and Excel. As a member of the COS Team, you will also be expected to research and resolve business system issues, coordinate with internal and external resources to identify the cause for the issue, and work with the business and IT teams to develop solutions to the address the issues. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills to clearly translate technical information to the non-technical user. • Strong query skills leveraging SQL Server and DB2 platforms. • Strong working knowledge of SSIS and SSRS for data translation and report development. • Working with the business and IT to create Solution Requirements Document (SRD) that will contain detailed business requirements, background, and other key information needed by the IT to develop test plans and technical requirements. • Research and resolve issues in a timely manner working with the business, PMO, and IT while adhering to IT Product Lifecycle methodologies and best practices. • Engage with the business, PMO, and IT to understand current and future business needs that can be addressed by changing technology innovation. *Notes from Client Call:* . This is a 70 % development and 30% requirement gathering role. . Some body with good data background and has experience working with SQL or DB2 or any other database platform. . They need to have strong with queries, convert data into different formats etc. . Need to be good at SQL, SSIS/Reporting with SSRS. . Better to have some scripting language like VB. . Basic level of BA systems analysis knowledge including testing and requirement. . No specific requirement gathering format for this pilot project , but they may not be overly formal. . Reviewing resumes by Tuesday followed by interviews late next week . In person interview preferred, but skype will be ok for candidates located far.
