*Position :* *ServiceNow Project Manager and Scrum Master* *Location : Southlake, TX* *Duration : 6+ months contract* Principal Project Manager and Scrum Master Seeking a thought leader who is passionate about project delivery and driving results through the art of Scrum. This dual Project Manager and Scrum Master position has the opportunity to make a large impact on the business by managing the implementation of a new state of the art IT Service Management (ITSM) tool and process that will streamline the Product and Technology organization. The ideal candidate will have experience successfully implementing the ServiceNow tool and ITIL best practices in other large technology organizations, specializing in Service, Asset, Configuration Management and Discovery. Accountable for * Facilitating rapid delivery of customer value and focus on delighting stakeholders. * Champions and facilitates the Scrum process. * Coordinating across other scrum teams for complex projects. * Guiding the team and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values. * Removing impediments or guiding the team to remove impediments. * Building a trusting environment where problems can be raised openly with an emphasis on problem solving. * Partnering with the Product Owner and facilitating getting the work done without coercion, assigning, or dictating the work. * Facilitating discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution. * Holding the Scrum team members accountable for their commitments. * Assisting with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information. * Mentoring the development team, especially with respect to grooming and maintaining the product backlog, acceptance criteria and prioritization. * Mentoring less experienced Scrum Masters. * Exemplify the desired culture and philosophies of the organization. * When necessary for larger projects, developing and managing the project plan, including project scope, estimates, development/delivery schedule, resource requirements, roles and responsibilities, integration efforts, and communication plan (including content, frequency, audience, and channels). * Conducting midrange planning exercises, establishing milestones and deliverables. * Accountable for meeting project schedules and financials (burn down rate, project costs). * Perform project reporting including overall project performance, issues and risk tracking, and project completion documentation Requirements * PMP certification preferred. First level Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM I); Second Level Scrum Master certification (CSP, PSM II) preferred. * Experience playing the Project Manager and/or Scrum Master role for at least 7 years for a software development team that was diligently applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory. * Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency. * Knowledge of patterns and techniques for Agile and Scrum (e.g Retrospective formats, handling defects, dealing with external dependencies, COTs, InfraScrum, etc.) * Knowledge and/or experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Continuous Deployment, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile/Innovation Games, etc. * Excellent communication and mentoring skills. * Ability to work in a team-oriented environment that is fast-paced and demanding. * Must be self-directed, have excellent initiative and organizational skills. * Ability to handle multiple demands with a sense of urgency, drive and energy. Work well under stress with the ability to deliver on time.
