Send resumes to vib...@tekshapers.com *Position Hadoop Big Data Engineer* *Length: *3 Months++ *Location:* Burlington, MA *Interview Process: *Phone then F2F *Description:* Responsibilities: - Collaborate with product managers and architects to create the solution roadmap, requirements and design. - Design and develop schemas and data acquisition, transformations, and data integration for large scale media consumption and advertising analytics. - Develop software and utilize commercial and open source software to interface big data and relational solutions. - Design and implement solutions for metadata, data quality, privacy management. - Support and consult with analytics and development staff on data presentation and use. Minimum Qualifications: - Mandatory hands-on experience for a minimum of 2 years required on Hadoop and associated Apache Open Source ecosystem (Hive, Pig, MapReduce, HBase, Pig, Sqoop, Spark et al) - Mandatory hands-on experience in programming languages like Python and Java – experience in Scala programming is a big plus. - Deep proficiency in data management principles – traditional RDBMS (Oracle, MS SQL et al) and open source DBMS (MySQL, PostgresSQL et al) - Adept in data modeling techniques - Working knowledge of Services Layer – Java, Groovy/Grails, RESTful, JSON, Maven, Subversion, JIRA, Eclipse et al. - Experience with Object-Oriented Programming Languages (Java, C++, Python) - Experience and working knowledge of NoSQL data stores is a big plus – columnar data stores like Vertica, Cassandra, ParAccel (RedShift) and document stores like MongoDB, Couch et al.
