Re-build of their internal custom applications *Sr. Back-End Developer – Cassandra * Requirements: · 8+ Years of development experience in a Java environment, preferably experience with web-based java applications · 2 years of development experience with Apache Cassandra database · Solid ability to write CQL queries · Solid ability to Model in Cassandra Pluses: · Familiarity with Inversion of Control (IoC) and Aspect Oriented Programming (AOP) and frameworks, preferable the Spring framework. · Some knowledge of ADF · Building RESTful API’s that interact with Cassandra (or NoSQL) Responsibilities: · Manage and support the development and implementation of custom software applications · Provide realistic cost, effort and duration estimates for software development activities · End-to-end ownership of discrete development activities (budget, schedule, functionality, quality, technical realization) · Provide team leadership towards the completion of development activities on-schedule within budget and per quality expectations · Liaise with the Program Management function of the department to provide project estimates, scheduling and completion updates to the customers · Oversee activity of staff to ensure that production problems are resolved quickly, ensuring continued accurate system operations.
