The BI-DBA will implement and support scheduled processing procedures of OLAP data sources, analyze system resource usage, perform required backup and restore tasks across DEV\QA\PROD environments, and contribute to performance tuning and usage analyses across client applications. *Description:* The top responsibility of the BI-DBA will be to ensure that corporate SSAS Tabular databases are refreshed/updated within required processing windows and are available to support required query workloads. The BI-DBA will be deeply familiar with SSAS Tabular processing modes, partitions, and design patterns as well as skills in methods for implementing required processing logic including Powershell scripts, XMLA, SSIS and SQL Agent. The BI-DBA must also be deeply familiar with restore/backup and synchronization processes as well as Load Balancer scale out configurations. Expert knowledge in troubleshooting errors via tools such as SQL Server Profiler, Extended Events and Performance Monitor is required. The second responsibility of the BI-DBA will be to monitor and support performance tuning and design efforts to maximize report rendering speeds and minimize resource usage (CPU, RAM).
