*Position: Performance Lead Engineer* *Location: Atlanta, GA* *Contract: 6 - 12 Months* *Position Summary Description:* · We are seeking an experienced Performance Engineer that will be located in Atlanta, GA but will interface extensively with teams in offshore/onsite. This position for a technically inclined individual who thrives in a fast paced environment performing load testing, creating load testing scripts and reporting product defects that ultimately improve quality and client satisfaction. The selected candidate will work closely with Performance lead, Architecture team, Offshore counter parts and Scrum team to deliver load testing work. *Key Areas of Responsibility:* · Coordinate work schedules for product quality locally, and report status and results to Performance lead · Design and maintain scripts for Load testing team. · Author Load test cases with sufficient detail to be repeatable and reliable, and re-usable with specified data sets and account permissions. · Execute Smoke and automated load tests on schedule with coordinated effort with field driving trips sometimes occurring overnight and over weekends. Some production support of software release activities will be required. · Write accurate, reproducible, detailed defect reports, and assist development and User Acceptance Test teams in recreation of the problem, and retesting of the solution. · Report according to schedule in an agile development / test cycle. *Job Description: * · Define and develop performance test plans and automated scripts using industry standard testing tools like HP Load Runner, Performance Center, JMeter etc. · Strong understanding of performance testing concepts, types of system performance tests and their goals. · Executes performance test, analyze and evaluate test results; generate performance metric reports and provide recommendations. · Strong background in system engineering, performance tuning, bottleneck identification and root cause analysis. · Strong experience with various protocols including Siebel-Web, Windows socket, Webservice, HTTP/HTML. · Work with functional Tester and Development counterparts to ensure adequate coverage for upcoming releases and keep up-to data with system changes that impact performance testing. · Participates in system architecture change reviews and assessment of system capacity impacts. Benchmarks system performance. · Strong understanding with system and application monitoring concepts (perform counters, EM12c, any other diagnostic utilities). · Strong understanding of Server, Network, Virtualization and Database concepts. · Strong understanding of performance testing concepts, types of system performance tests and their goals. · Experience working with Linux/Unix OS and knowledge of commands. · Experience with the writing of SQL queries. · Good knowledge of C/C++, Java, Unix Shell Scripting etc. · Experience with SPLUNK a Plus. · Experience with Microservice Architecture is a plus We need someone with Python and Perl scripting experience for this position. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Oracle-Projects" group.
