*Senior Cognos BI Developer Albany, NY. 6+ months contract Responsibilities: **Develop reporting standards; *Develop metadata standards for all data access components; *Develop change management and control processes and procedures appropriate to data access; *Develop processes, policies and procedures for granting query and reporting privileges; *Develop the detailed project plans for the design, development, testing and implementation of a query and reporting infrastructure that meets the information needs of the various data mart users; *Attend all walkthroughs/reviews for data access design; and *Provide support to the Metadata Lead in the development of a comprehensive metadata solution. *Required Skills:* *Medicare/Medicaid experience is great! *At least seven (7) years of experience working with IBM Cognos; *At least seven (7) years of experience developing dashboards in IBM Cognos; *At least five (5) years of experience designing and implementing Business Intelligence Solutions with IBM Cognos in a UNIX / Linux environment, including its installation, configuration and performance tuning; *At least five (5) years working on large scale Data Mart / Data Warehouse projects; *At least five (5) years of experience in the development of program specifications and implementation of software solutions; *At least five (5) years in the role of Senior BI Developer in large-scale environment; *At least five (5) years of experience developing reports and reporting standards; *At least five (5) years in Data Integration, ODS, Analytics Architecture, and Implementation; *At least five (5) years of experience translating business requirements into reports; *At least three (3) years of experience in developing stakeholder material / technical documents; *At least two (2) years of experience with data modeling tools; and *Two (2) or more years of health care data experience is desirable.
