*NY-New York/Midtown NY or Bergen County NJ/New Jersey Duration::: 4+ monthsMOI::: Phone then face to face * *Job Description::* -You will be a part of the Technology Architecture team of the Ad Sales Analytics and Research team, reporting to a Sr. Director of Technology. -You will help drive the performance & architecture solution of the firm's Ad Sales & Trafficking system and its ecosystem. -A primary focus will be to proactively identify, analyze, triage and implement performance improvements in conjunction with the internal database & architecture team and the product vendor. -This position will work closely with our business analyst, business domain experts, vendor resources, process architects and technologists. -Excellent organizational abilities and communication skills are necessary for this role. -The candidate will in due course be required to understand both the functional (to the extent necessary) and technical aspects of the application. -Previous exposure to Oracle Database Technology and/or the Media industry are desirable. *Specific duties will include::*•Work with application users and business analysts to understand their issues and concerns •Attend regular calls with vendors and prioritize issues and drive product improvements •Meet regularly with the Business IT teams to update on status of open issues and future improvements. •Troubleshoot application problems in both production and non-production environments; support RCA process and ensure all fixes are fully implemented, collaborate across infrastructure teams to determine RCA •Prioritize and triage application issues relating to performance •Maintain a list of top issues and prioritize their fixes •Log ad track performance tickets •Work with the application support team to test and rollout fixes •Identify gaps in the product and help set development prioritize. •Work closely with the QA lead to build test scripts (mostly relating to performance) •Work with the Architecture team on performance and load tests. •Monitor databases using vendor tools to identify bottlenecks, performance issues, locks etc. proactively. •Write SQL to analyze and research issues on the database. •Support scheduled and emergency maintenance events •Work with application teams to generate traces on windows and Oracle databases. Extract and send those traces to the vendors. •Review SQL and identify bottle necks in execution; read execution plans. With support of DBAs & Architects looks at options to improve performance. •In time taking on a more active role in optimizing execution of the application on the Oracle DB.
