*Job Title : QA Automation Engineer (Only US Citizens)* *Relevant Experience (in Yrs) : 3 - 5 years of direct hands-on quality assurance experience in an agile software development environment* *Duration of assignment (in Months) : 12 Months* *Work Location : Sterling, VA* *Technical/Functional Skills * 1. Must possess an active clearance. A basic Public Trust is required for this position 2. Four-year technical degree or equivalent work experience 3. 3 - 5 years recent experience in software Quality Assurance in an Agile environment 4. Experienced with current database platforms like Oracle 5. Must have backend testing experience with Web servers, routers and load balancing 6. Must be proficient in a Linux/Unix environments 7. Must be proficient in Java, JUnit, TestNG and Selenium 8. Understanding of the entire Quality Assurance process, including defect submission standards, test case and test plan documentation 9. Strong technical and analytical skills related to software Quality Assurance 10. Excellent verbal and written communication skills 11. Experienced Scrum Team member 12. Exposed to some sort of behavior driven testing 13. Self-motivated and able to thrive in a results-driven environment 14. High energy, well-organized, team player *Roles & Responsibilities * 1. Ensure proper QA policies and testing coverage is applied to assigned projects and task 2. Participate in the Agile software delivery process by writing, reviewing functional and design specifications, develop and review test cases in JAVA, JUnit, TestNG, SQL and Selenium, write user stories and tasks for sprints, coordinate efforts and communication with the developers and other team members to ensure resolution of defects, and manage/triage defects in the bug tracking system 3. Consult with various cross department team members to review and troubleshoot production issues 4. Drive automation initiatives including white box scripting and functional automation projects 5. Assist in performance testing 6. Ensure that products meet or exceed the quality standards by applying knowledge of quality assurance standards and procedures 7. Engage with the Quality Assurance team to deploy successful quality processes throughout the software development lifecycle 8.
