*Title: Sr.** **Oracle DBA with PeopleSoft Internet Architecture experience! * *Location: Columbus Ohio* *Duration: 12 months plus* * * *Project Description:* We have a contract opportunity for a Senior Oracle DBA with a strong background in managing several Oracle 10g RAC database across multiple UNIX nodes hosting multi terabytes of data from various PeopleSoft application modules and data warehouse environments. In-depth knowledge of *PeopleSoft's Internet Architecture (PIA)* is required to architect and maintain an optimal performance across all tiers of the environment. Proficiency with the design and implementation of dimensions and star schemas, materialized views, database partitioning and various indexing techniques, and ETL mapping, is highly desired to implement large data warehousing solutions. Applicants must have at least 5 years of on-project experience, managing large Oracle 10g databases hosting various PeopleSoft modules (FINANCE, HCM, EPM) across multi-node (HP_UX) Oracle RAC clusters. Additionally, this role requires 10 years or more on project experience with the following: . Install, upgrade, and configure Oracle CRS, RAC, and OEM GC software in compliance with the certification metrics across multiple servers on an on-going basis to proactively address issues with the vendor software. Must be proficient in tracking the quarterly CPU/PSU patches from Oracle and implement them across all environments in coordination with the end users. . Implement fail-proof database backup and recovery procedures using RMAN and MML. Provide automated procedures to ensure successful completion of backup jobs and validation of backup sets to ensure their successful utilization during a recovery. Implement routine procedures to identify and process expired and obsolete backups. Track the runtime of the backup jobs and optimize them in compliance with the SLA. Implement database flashback recovery and allocate optimal disk space for the flashback logs. . Perform database cloning using RMAN duplicate, transportable tablespace, and data pump across various Oracle RAC clusters. Integrate the capture and restore of PeopleSoft configuration data with the database cloning process to minimize the overall cloning time. .
