Title: QA Tester Location: CA Duration: 4 Months RATE:- $30/hr(all inclusive) Job Description:- QA Tester The Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive test plans against Examen’s CounselLink Application. The QA Engineer will be performing tests that verify functionality, data and transaction integrity, security, and/or scalability/high availability. The QA Engineer will work closely with Examen’s development, QA and IT teams to deliver the highest quality products in a timely and cost-effective manner. Testing techniques employed will range from manual black box UI testing to data-driven gray box automated testing. Candidates for this position should be capable of scripting and automating test cases wherever appropriate. Qualifications: Computer Science degree or at least 3 years of equivalent full time testing experience. 2+ years experience of software testing in an established software development cycle with at least 2 major releases. 2+ years experience of testing web-based standalone or n-tiered systems preferably with backend systems coupled to high-volume relational databases. Must have intermediate proficiency in Windows NT/2000 operating systems. Must have intermediate knowledge of Web and Win32 GUI testing. Must have some to intermediate knowledge of Web technologies like DHTML, XML, SOAP, JavaScript, Web services, etc. Must have some to intermediate knowledge and experience of Adobe Acrobat and PDF files. Must have some proficiency in T/SQL and/or other SQL scripting languages. Must possess strong independent technical troubleshooting & analysis, sound judgment, negotiating and decision making skills. Must have Intermediate understanding of state-of-the-art SQA methodologies and technologies. Must demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills. Must possess some to intermediate experience working with third party test tools like Mercury Interactive Test Director, Quick Test Professional, and/or Win Runner. Must have previous experience with UNIX and shell scripting.
