*Job Title: **Java Architect strong exp with Healthcare* industry*experience * *Location: Durham, NC* *Duration:* * 6 months (possible extension)* *Pay Rate: $60 /hour C2C* *JOB DESCRIPTION: * *Responsibilities:* - Responsible and accountable for all technical aspects of development for a new product within the Healthcare & Science business. - Lead a team of 5-15 software engineers, quality assurance engineers and business analysts to achieve success in design, development and deployment activities. - Plan, coordinate and deliver all product releases on-time, on-scope and on-budget. - Acquire and maintain expert-level knowledge of all product functionality. - Provide technical direction for product development activities in conjunction with technical architects or technical leads. Create and review technical deliverables. - Mentor and challenge software engineers and other team members. - Adhere to product engineering methodology while working collaboratively with a variety of functional teams (quality assurance, configuration management, product management, product support, project management). - Transform business requirements into comprehensive solutions using the appropriate methods, tools and technologies. - Identify and act on opportunities to improve the performance of the development team. * * *Requirements:* - 8 - 10 years of practical experience building web applications using Java/J2EE technologies. - 3+ years of practical experience as a manager or team lead with a demonstrated ability to drive a technical team to high quality, on-time completion of design and development activities.
