Cluster Analyst for Application Integration

*Start Date: * IMMEDIATELY

*Description*

§  The purpose of the position is to support the IT work stream with Project
Management activities (to be further detailed below).

§  The integration of 2 companies will mean that a large number of IT
applications in the existing IT environment will either be integrated,
migrated, decommissioned or archived. The estimated numbers of applications
that in one or another way need to be considered are up to 1500.

§  The responsibility of the Cluster Analyst is to secure the functional
integrity of the IT applications in the Cluster under his/her charge. The IT
project types can vary in nature from system integration, to data migration,
to data archival work. Each project will follow the Client’s standard IT
project framework PROPS.

§  The Cluster Analyst will report to the Cluster Project Manager.
  The existing IT environment

§  Client has acquired the CDMA and the LTE business from another telecom
company. The deal was closed on 2009-11-16 after which the execution of the
integration started. The number of staff that comes with is around 2500 in
USA, Canada and China. The acquired GSM business (350 persons) will later
also be handled via this project.

§  The IT environment used by those three entities stem from a company of
approximately 100.000 employees and those three businesses are fully
integrated like the other entities that are being sold out. In practice this
means that a 2900 staff has an IT environment for a 100.000 staff company.
It is also a mixture of legacy own developed applications as well as off the
shelf sourced – with in some times own modifications.

§  The Cluster Analyst will ensure that The functional integrity and quality
of the applications under his/her charge is secured
  The Cluster Analyst will have the following responsibilities

§  Secure the successful completion of all functional PROPS tollgate
deliverables;

§  Liaise with business representatives to ensure applications are aligned
with Client’s way of working and business processes.

§  Guide technical staff (developers, analysts, database experts etc) in the
successful completion of their project related activities

§  Support the Cluster Project Manager with functional consulting and
services (i.e. validation of technical deliverables, estimates etc)
  Skill requirements

§  Will possess expert level knowledge of and experience with SAP BW and
related data tools sets such as DART and/or other third party tools in SAP
4.5/4.6 EEC Environment

§  Has had functional emphasis on financial services area (FI/CO) –
especially tax and audit

§  Will possess expert level knowledge of and experience with Oracle 11i
database application re:   data structure, manipulation, extraction

§  Will have experience/understanding of IBM Optim archiving tools set

§  Solid understanding of supporting feeder applications normally
encountered in a mixed technology environment (data translators, data
manipulators, etc.) Previous experience with iDOCS

§  Must be able to create, analyze, and prioritize effectively to
communicate Business Requirements Documents (BRD), Functional Requirement
Documents (FRD), and templates while creating flow charts with MS Visio,
UML, RUP, Use Cases, and maintain scope throughout the SDLC to all relevant
stakeholders.

§  Is expected to work with limited supervision and report proactively and
in a structured fashion to various stakeholders

§  Able to independently interact with key business users and elicit
business requirements

§  Able to represent business priorities by having developed an
understanding of key business processes

§  Able to support development teams during the building phase with
functional coaching

§  Able to support business users in User Acceptance Testing activities
  Deliverables

§  System information model - Describes the information model, data model
and taxonomy that the system is built on. In the case of using Client’s
global information model (ECIM) the subset of information into a system
model. Describes the relation between the information model and data model.(
In case of using master data, point out which dedicated source is used.)

§  Mapping to Client’s information model - Describes the data to be migrated
and how that data maps to the Client’s information models.

§  IMAF presentation - Presents the information management for the system
and the impact to the Client’s Enterprise Information Architecture to the
IMAF members at a scheduled meeting.

§  System Implementation rules - Describes rules for how the system shall be
instantiated, template, configured

§  Test plan - Describes the test strategy, test methodology and high-level
test plan for the relocation and/or data migration

§  Business Acceptance specification - Describe the criteria for business
acceptance of the relocation and/or data migration. This a list of business
demands/requirements on the project

§  Others as according to PROPS and as deemed appropriate
