You will be responsible for the configuration and turn-up *Cisco store
routers using DMVPN* and the configuration and installation of a *new
network VPN concentrator head end. *
This person will need to be able to manage all data network services and
equipment including but not limited to *routers, switches and other
equipment must have:*
• *CISCO CCIP *
• *Ability to work Early AM (4:30 to Noon) *
• Also be responsible for generating detailed documentation to support the
installation, configuration, upgrades and ongoing support of all network
services and equipment associated with store routers and VPN concentrator
head end.
• Provide expert-level network operations support during project
• Maintain and update network documentation including network diagrams, IP
allocation records, router configurations, etc.
• Monitor network bandwidth utilization trends and make recommendations to
alleviate network congestion.
• Develop configuration files for network devices as required.
• Configure and test evaluation hardware and software.
• Prepare or assist in preparing specifications, training documents, or
technical presentations as necessary.
• Follow, support, and enforce all internal control processes and
procedures.
• Provide status reports on key projects and operational issues as
required.
• *IP address administration, ARIN processes, and IPv6*
• In-depth knowledge of *Cisco IOS and CLI commands. *
• Transport technologies (*Ethernet, DMVPN, VPN, Frame Relay, MPLS) *
• Advanced knowledge of *Microsoft Visio. *
• Must be able to create complex network diagrams and detailed engineering
documentation.
*Minimum Skills: *
1.Bachelor of engineering degree in Computer Science or MCA
2.Excellent administration scripting skills in multiple OSs (*RedHat, SuSe,
Solaris, etc.) *
3.Strong experience in *Unix/Linux and Windows system development *and *
administration. *
4.Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interface with
Developers, Operations Management and Carrier Technicians.
5.Development Team/Project lead experience.
6.Self-starter and able to manage multiple priorities and tasks in a dynamic
environment.
7.Licenses or Certifications: *CCIP or CCIE certification required. *
*Desired Skills: *
1.A Bachelor of Sciences Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science
or other related field is required; or equivalent experience.
2. Demonstrated ability to have completed multiple, complex technical
projects.
3. Strong verbal and written communication skills
4.Ability to work independently and with a strong sense of urgency--manage
priorities, follow-through on issues, etc.
5.Ability to learn quickly and apply new knowledge and skills immediately
6.Trustworthy and ability to work honestly with little or no supervision
7.Strong technical analytical capabilities
8.Strong troubleshooting skills.
